The Centre for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain seeks a
research assistant to implement a programme of research (with Professor
H Johansen-Berg) testing the effects of non-invasive brain stimulation
on neurorehabilitation in disorders including stroke. The ideal candidate should be motivated to work with clinical populations, have good communication skills, and a good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject. Research experience, experience of working with clinical populations, and knowledge of statistics are an advantage. Employment, funded by the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, Oxford, could begin as soon as possible a period of 2 years. - Combined MSc and D.Phil in Neuroscience: It is also possible to apply for the four year combined MSc and D.Phil course. The first year involves taught courses and short projects in different neuroscience laboratories and leads to an MSc degree. The next three years constitute the D.Phil program and students decide on a DPhil project after the MSc.
